Marcos Macedo

Marcos Macedo is a MSc Candidate in Computer Science at Queen’s University under the guidance of Dr. Yuan Tian. He holds a BSc in Computer Science degree from University of Montevideo, Uruguay.

He is interested in Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. His current research is focused on Large Language Models for Software Engineering (AI4SE) and Software Engineering for AI (AI4SE). In particular, he is working on code translation across programming language (AI4SE). Additionally, he is interested on reducing the complexity of data pipelines that include LLMs (SE4AI) to make them more accesible to users across different technical backgrounds.

Before joining Queen’s, he worked at Verafin (a NASDAQ company) and IBM, where he performed software development, advocacy, consulting and mentoring roles. He has more than 10 years of experience delivering software solutions for both personal and corporate clients.
